The Parks and Recreation department oversees Coon Rapids three playgrounds, Aquatic Center and outdoor sports complex. In addition, they offer several youth sports programs including: little league softball and baseball, t-ball, flag football, youth football, swim team, youth basketball and youth volleyball.

They host a punt, pass and kick contest and spot shot contest. Their goal is to provide fun physical learning opportunities for Coon Rapids youth.
